UNITHANE® 1077 WD 60 is an urethane oil based on siccative fatty acid and aromatic isocyanate, which is recommended for high gloss and matt paints formulations for boat and frames. UNITHANE® 1077 WD 60 can also be used in pigmented decorative gloss or eggshell finishes and should comprise between 20-50% of the media, the balance being a suitable long oil alkyd, for instance SYNOLAC® 4047 WD 90. Used in combination with this high solid binder, Co-free paints with good drying and hardness development can be achieved.

UNITHANE® 373 X 60 is a very fast drying, urethane modified, short oil alkyd especially for combinations with polyvinylchloride copolymers. UNITHANE® 373 X 60 is particularly suited to the manufacture of protective coatings for industrial use in combination with PVC-copolymers, e.g. for agricultural machines, containers or chassis paints. UNITHANE® 373 X 60 distinguishes by its very rapid drying and quick development of hardness even in thick films. Dry films show a good adhesion, water resistance and excellent anti corrosive properties. Combinations with PVC-copolymers, achieve an excellent chemical resistance and a minimum permeability for water vapour.

UNITHANE® 458W is a polyurethane resin that is designed to produce fast drying coatings of excellent abrasion resistance.

UNITHANE® 612 S 60 is a fast drying short oil alkyd resin, obtained thanks to a specific selective condensation process, which allows to obtain a film with optimum resistance to outdoor exposure, hardness and chemical resistance. The UNITHANE® 612 S 60 is particularly adapted for the formulation of anti-rust primers and varnishes. The film of varnish formulated with UNITHANE® 612 S 60 exhibits a very good resistance to water, even after a very short drying time (3h – 75µm).

UNITHANE® 644 WD 55 is an urethane alkyd based on aliphatic isocyanate and was designed particularly with colour retention in mind. The resin can be used in clear and pigmented finishes and is often used in combination with colour retentive long oil alkyds. The excellent colour and gloss retention of UNITHANE® 644 WD 55, especially when exposed to ultra violet light, makes it an ideal choice for use in exterior applications, including garden furniture and marine finishing. In clear varnishes UNITHANE® 644 WD 55 can be used as the sole medium. For decorative gloss or eggshell finishes, between 20-50% of the urethane resin should be used, the balance being a colour retentive long oil alkyd. The resin is supplied in low aromatic white spirit to enable the formulation of coatings that do not require adverse environmental labelling.

UNITHANE® 645 WD 57 is an urethane alkyd designed for use in clear and pigmented finishes. It can be used as the sole medium or in combination with long oil alkyds. UNITHANE® 645 WD 57 can be used in pigmented decorative gloss or eggshell finishes and should comprise between 20-50% of the media, the balance being a suitable long oil alkyd. UNITHANE® 645 WD 57 increases both hardness and abrasion resistance while maintaining excellent gloss retention. In thixotropic decorative gloss and eggshell finishes, similar percentages can be used. Abrasion resistant and rapid drying finishes are obtained, with the durability, pigment wetting and non-chalking characteristics of the alkyd resin being retained. For interior floor varnishes and related finishes, it is recommended that UNITHANE® 645 WD 57 be used as the sole binder. The low aromatic solvent in UNITHANE® 645 WD 57 allows coatings to be formulated which are exempt from European environmental labelling requirements.

UNITHANE® 655 WD 55 is an urethane alkyd designed for use in clear and pigmented finishes, which can be used in combination with long oil alkyds in order to increase hardness and abrasion resistance while maintaining excellent gloss retention. UNITHANE® 655 WD 55 can be used in pigmented decorative and industrial glossy or eggshell finishes and should comprise between 20-50% of the media, the balance being a suitable long oil alkyd. In thixotropic decorative gloss and eggshell finishes, similar percentages can be used. UNITHANE® 655W55 MY can be used in decorative gloss or eggshell finishes and should comprise between 20-50 % of the media, the balance being a suitable long oil alkyd. In thixotropic decorative gloss and eggshell finishes, similar percentages can be used. In floor varnishes and related finishes, UNITHANE® 655W55 MY is recommended for use as the sole medium.

UNITHANE® 700 WD 60 is an urethane alkyd based on aliphatic isocyanate and was designed particularly with colour retention in mind. The resin can be used in clear and pigmented finishes that meet the 2010 VOC limits set in Directive 2004/42/CE and is often used in combination with colour retentive long oil alkyds. The excellent colour and gloss retention of UNITHANE® 700 WD 60, especially when exposed to ultra violet light, makes it an ideal choice for use in exterior applications, including garden furniture and marine finishing. In clear varnishes UNITHANE® 700 WD 60 can be used as the sole medium.
